Ugly Stik Lite 6'2" 1 pc light action spinning rod
Nice rod! Ugly Stik should have come out with this long ago. It has a very nice soft action that makes it good for soft mouth fish such as trout or for smaller crankbaits. It has more than enough backbone to handle any fish you are likely to catch. The only reason it doesn't rate 5 stars is the guides. If they are going to make the guide inserts out of metal they need to be coated with titanium or hard chromium so they will stand up to braided line. Pure stainless guide inserts will cut with braid and sometimes even show wear with mono line. This is a good enough rod to warrant far better guides( maybe Fugi Alconites). Give us top notch guides, add 6 or 7 dollars to the price and make some of those 300 dollar rod makers sweat. Thanks for making it in a 1 piece.
